ISTW Mentorship Program

Although both popular and critical interest in travel literature has increased dramatically in recent years, many scholars and writers find themselves working in relative isolation. While ISTW has worked to create a collegial and supportive environment for scholars and writers interested in travel literature, researchers and other practitioners new to the field—particularly those in an academic department lacking faculty expertise in travel literature—may benefit from regular contact with a more experienced scholar.

Therefore, ISTW has created a mentorship program through which graduate students and recent graduates can receive advice, encouragement, and support from faculty working in a related area of travel literature. If you are an ISTW member and would like to work with a mentor or are willing to serve as a mentor, please EMAIL John Cox.
